Membership Requirements

 

 

Buffalo Soldiers MC South Bay is a non-profit organization. Membership in the Buffalo Soldiers South Bay chapter's motorcycle club is open to anyone with an interest in promoting the history of the Buffalo Soldiers, maintaining a positive image of motorcycle riders, and interested in group riding, regardless of race, creed, religion, or sex. The club membership reserves the right to refuse membership to anyone.

 

There are two types of membership:

Full Members are required to own a registered and insured  motorcycle.  Motorcycle must be able to maintain the posted highway speed limits for sustained periods of time. Full Members must be willing to ride on planned rides at least once a month.

Associate Membership is available to all “significant others” including spouses, girlfriends, boyfriends, relatives, or just friends of the Full Chapter members who - for whatever reason - are not eligible for “Full Membership” status but want to play a role in the Chapter’s mission.  Associate Membership is welcomed and those in this category are encouraged to train for their motorcycle license and eventually become Full Members.

 

Full Members and Associate Members must be willing to participate in club activities and promote the history of the Buffalo Soldiers.

 

 

Interested adults should fellowship with our members on rides and events, prior to expressing their desire to join our organization. After their participation in several rides/events, the candidate will be invited to a scheduled club meeting for a formal introduction and request for membership. Those interested in becoming an Associate or Full Member must be sponsored by a current club member. The interested party will become a " Person Of Interest" after reviewing a copy of the clubs by-laws and submitting a completed application. Upon the acceptance of the application and participating in the clubs activities, the current members will vote to accept or reject the person of interest within a three month period.
